Abstract |
In the 1920's a young couple give up their life on a pioneer kibbutz to move back to Germany. Their son returns to Israel after his parents are killed by the Nazis. The film shows the general development of Palestine and the kibbutz in particular during two decades. Interwoven with the story is a puppet opera dramatization of the biblical tale of "Bilam and the Ass". |
