Abstract |
Fundraiser. Three separate dramatized stories relate decisive moments in the lives of three different people: a boy taken off the streets of Casablanca by a jeweler he tries to rob, to be trained by the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), an immigrant doctor brought to a small town in the United States by the United Service for New Americans, and a girl who survived the Holocaust and overcomes her traumatic past to become a pioneer, returning to her border settlement after leaving for Tel Aviv. After all lhe three immigrants are given a chance to live in dignity. |
