Abstract

In 1941, all of the refugees from German-occupied European countries meet in Casablanca in French Morocco which is under the control of Vichy`s government in collaboration with the Nazis. However Casablanca remains a springboard to Lisbon and America. The black market of travel documents thrives. Rick Blaine, the owner of a night club meets his true love Ilsa Lund again whose escape he aids, along with her husband, Victor Laszlo, a hunted resistance fighter.
